Caring for Your Mirror

Our mirrors are made using a rare Tiger-patterned burl and Birdseye Maple veneers and finished with a rich lacquer for protection and lustre. With a little care, yours will retain its beauty for years to come.

Cleaning

  • Gently dust the frame with a soft, dry cloth to preserve the lacquered surface.

  • For the glass, use a clean, lint-free cloth and a non-ammonia-based glass cleaner. Spray the cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the mirror, to avoid contact with the frame.

  • Avoid abrasive cloths, sponges or harsh cleaning agents.

Placement and Environment

  • Keep your mirror away from direct sunlight to protect the lacquer from fading over time.

  • Avoid hanging in damp or humid environments such as bathrooms, as this may affect both the veneer and the backing.

Handling

  • Always handle with care and lift from the sides or base, never the top.

  • Avoid bumping or dragging the piece across hard surfaces.

  • If moving or installing, we recommend using two people to avoid accidental damage.

Natural Variation

Each mirror is crafted using natural striped burl wood, meaning no two pieces are the same. Variations in grain, tone and pattern are part of what makes each mirror unique.
