Caring for Your Ceramic Lamp Base

Our glazed ceramic bases are crafted with care. A few thoughtful habits will help preserve their beauty and integrity over time.

Cleaning

• Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to keep the surface clean.

• For occasional deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water with a soft cloth.

• Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents or abrasives, which can damage the glaze.

Placement and Protection

• Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading or discolouration of the glaze.

• Avoid placing near heaters, radiators or vents, as extreme temperatures can cause cracking.

• Use coasters or protective mats beneath the lamp to protect both the base and your furniture.

Handling

• Ceramic is delicate. Always lift from the base, not the neck, to avoid stress on the most fragile part.

• Take care when moving or adjusting to avoid chips or cracks.

Spills and Moisture

• If moisture or liquid comes into contact with the base, gently wipe it away with a soft cloth.

• Avoid letting spills sit, as they may leave marks or damage the glaze.
